Jim Skiff

We are thrilled to welcome Jim Skiff back to The Baker Group after serving for the past six years as Director of Admissions at Drew University.  Jim offers extensive experience in enrollment, development, communication, institutional research and technology at the college and private school levels. His broad knowledge about education has been acquired through his work as Assistant Head of School for External Affairs (Providence Country Day School), Dean of Enrollment/Director of Development (Kingswood-Oxford School), Dean of Enrollment (Manhattanville College), Director of Admission and Financial Aid (Chatham Hall), and teacher/college counselor/coach (The Rivers School).

His areas of expertise in enrollment include strategic enrollment planning, market research, communications, office organization and staff development, financial aid, retention, and technology. Jim's development experience encompasses annual and capital fundraising and alumni relations.

In his previous work as a Baker Group consultant, we learned how talented Jim is in drawing from his breadth of experience to assist independent school clients address their strategic enrollment needs. Jim is an alumnus of Union College (NY) and Wesleyan University (CT).
